ALAN J. BAILEY / CFO

Alan served as a Senior Financial Executive with Paramount Pictures for 35 years, including being its Senior Vice President and Treasurer (1974-2009). In this capacity, he was responsible for Paramount’s global financial management, including working and closing deals with investors seeking to invest in Paramount’s motion pictures, as well as supervising Paramount’s internal audit/compliance division; international finance and accounting; tax planning, compliance and reporting; maximizing the recovery of production tax incentives and subsidies; and emergency preparedness planning. Since 2009, Alan has served as a “virtual” CFO to a number of emerging and start up publicly traded (OTC) companies and he is fully familiar with SEC reporting (10K’s and 10Q’s etc), reverse mergers and acquisitions, OTC Pink Sheet alternative reporting, preparation of business plans, financial accounting and reporting, S- 1’s, Regulation D (504) and Regulation A filings, business modelling and budgeting..

 

In his spare time, Alan founded and executive produced the Movieville International Film Festival, the Action on Film Festival, the Asian American International Film Festival and HopeFest, a Christian themed film festival. He also serves as the executive producer of family friendly lower budget/high quality motion pictures, digital and television content, and writes treatments and scripts for movie and TV projects.

 

In connection with entrepreneurial opportunities in Asia, Alan is the CFO of Hollywood Entertainment EDU which specializes in placing high achieving Chinese film students with leading educational institutions and film schools in the US and is the CFO of RPB Company Inc, which specializes in commodity trading with businesses based in China. Alan acts as a mentor and lecturer to Chinese film students and he is the co-founder and co-chairman of the Hollywood Short Film Association which supports, produces and distributes micro-films (content less than 30 minutes running time), worldwide.

 

Alan is a CPA and a Fellow of the Institute of UK Chartered Accountants, and is an alumni of public accounting firms Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton.
